I Can Choreograph a Chair
(Louis Wouldn‘t Like it)

The very position of an object, the body or otherwise, in space, speaks volumes. Ballet‘s eight body positions are based on never being able to turn your back on the King. I Can Choreograph a Chair embraces and turns its back on this convention and convention generally.

I Can Choreograph a Chair (Louis Wouldn‘t Like it)

The very position of an object, the body or otherwise, in space, speaks volumes. Ballet‘s eight body positions are based on never being able to turn your back on the King.

I Can Choreograph a Chair embraces and turns its back on this convention and convention generally.

A chair becomes a dance partner, a stage, an object, and a position. Between movement, music, and text, a world emerges in which things, bodies, and sounds constantly change places. It is a choreography about positions, states, and the possibility of making a chair dance.

BELL CHIMING

all that we loved –
in the light of spring

flowers fall away

oh sorry, just seeing this:

time will break what doesn’t
bend — even time
even you and I

sagt der sturmvogel Habermas:
kommunikatives handeln!

I don’t care if you love me –
in the light of spring

flowers fall away

EVEN IN THE NIGHT BY THE FIELD OF DREAMS

you come to me secretly
for breakfast at Tiffany‘s

imagine love as an owl

think about us—a distance
apart only a flying thing could connect us—

there will never be another breakfast
you will travel through time searching for us

ONLY THE WINDS VOICE

passes by too close (you have to jump)
and yes you do hear music here
it's blue, or turquoise, aquamarine

first frame:
what you want to do is slow down time

I’m lost, did you send something?

second frame:
window with blue lights
on and off – on and off

blue is either the rarest
or the commonest color in nature

the teacher says:
take out your pencils. begin.
